2013 Kia Carens detailed

The South Korean automaker Kia has revealed the all-new Carens MPV which is set to replace not only the current model but also the bigger Sedona in the company’s lineup. As you might have guessed, it is based on the new generation of the cee’d model but has a 10mm longer wheelbase and has been fitted with a torsion beam rear axle in comparison to the hatchback’s multi-link configuration.

The looks of the car are the work of Peter Schreye who is Kia’s chief designer. Compared to the outgoing model, the interior cabin has grown in terms of ambience, versatility and most importantly, quality.

It is worth mentioning that the three seats located in the middle are in fact individual seats and can slide fore and aft. In addition, these can also recline or even fold flat, while the one in the middle is a little bit narrower compared to the outer two seats. The seat in the middle can be used to store drinks or as an armrest when it’s folded flat.

In addition, there are two more seats which fold out of the boot and are suitable for carrying adults on a short trip. Even the front passenger seat can be folded for boosting the room inside the cabin. Some of the premium goodies offered for the 2013 Kia Carens include a refrigerated glove box, a satellite navigation system, heated rear seats, heated & cooled leather front seats and a park assist system.
