2013 Skoda Octavia RS launched

Czech automaker Skoda has officially revealed the third generation of the Octavia RS which will be available in a Combi variant as well. Both body styles will get their first public appearance on July 10 at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Customers will have the possibility of ordering the fastest Octavia ever with either a 2.0-liter TSI engine producing 220 HP (162 kW) or a 2.0-liter TDI generating 184 HP (135 kW). If these figures sound familiar, that’s because the gasoline engine is borrowed from the Volkswagen Golf VII GTI while the diesel is taken from the GTD version.
