Chevrolet has finally put a price tag on the 2014 SS which will be available from a starting price of $44,470, taking into consideration the $995 destination fee. The car will be hitting dealerships sometime this fall at a $5,000 higher price tag than its predecessor, the Pontiac G8 GXP. The 2014 SS features a long list of equipment such as GPS navigation part of the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system, heated and ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, keyless entry, Bose sound system and dual-zone automatic climate control. For more money clients can configure the car with a $500 full-size spare tire and/or a $900 power sunroof.
The heart and soul of the 2014 Chevrolet SS is a V8 6.3-liter LS3 engine capable of outputting 415 bhp (310 kW) and a peak torque of 563 Nm (415 lb-ft). It’s linked to a 6-speed automatic gearbox which allows the hot sedan to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in approximately five seconds.
