American tuner Callaway has created an aftermarket package tailored to the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. They previously said it delivers “astounding power” without releasing any exact figures, but now Callaway is telling us they have managed to bump the output of the V8 6.2-liter supercharged engine to 757 bhp and 777 lb-ft of torque which represents a significant increase of 107 bhp and 127 lb-ft. Thanks to this massive power hike, the car will run the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) sprint in as little as 2.8 seconds while the quarter mile is completed in 10.5 seconds at 131 mph (210 km/h).
The additional power squeezed from the engine is possible thanks to the tuner’s custom supercharger which is 32% bigger than the standard one. There’s also an optimized air intake along with a triple-element intercooler along with a carbon fiber engine cover, supercharger hood surround and anodized aluminum door sill plates while the embroidered floor mats are also part of the package.
Callaway is asking $16,995 for their kit developed specifically for the latest Chevrolet Corvette Z06. It comes with a 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty and you also get special key fobs, underhood build plaque with vehicle identification number, as well as an authenticity documentation package.
