Not a lot of people will even consider adding more power in an Audi R8 V10 Plus which already packs a 550 HP punch from its mighty V10 5.2-liter FSI engine. Yet you will find some aftermarket specialists such as B&B who beg to differ as they have done just that, squeeze additional oomph from that ten-cylinder engine. They have an array of three power stages, starting out with a kit that bumps output to 595 HP and 560 Nm. The mid-range program will bring an increase in power to 595 HP and 560 Nm, while the range-topping kit is dials the engine to 628 HP and 585 Nm.
If you are wondering just how they managed to throw in a considerable amount of extra horsepower, they did this by remapping the engine’s ECU, updating the ignition and injection systems, along with upgrading the air intake channels and ducts. There’s also a stainless steel race-spec exhaust system as well as custom-made carbon fiber air filters.
Thanks to these significant upgrades, the Audi R8 V10 Plus by B&B will complete the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) journey in 3.2 seconds, making it 0.3s faster than the stock model. In addition, the top speed has been increased to an impressive 204 mph (328 km/h).
