2014 Jaguar XJR announced

Jaguar plans on unveiling next week at the 2013 New York Auto Show the 2014 XJR which is being described by the British marque as a “dynamic flagship” which benefits from a sport-tuned suspension, five-spoke alloys and red brake calipers. On the styling front, it benefits from a ventilated bonnet, updated front bumper as well as black mesh grille inserts. In an official statement made by Jaguar, the company’s Global Brand Director Adrian Hallmark characterizes the car as the epitome of the three pillars: technology, contemporary design and performance, while at the same time providing high levels of dynamic stability for the segment of luxury saloons.

At the heart of the 2014 Jaguar XJR is a supercharged V8 5.0-liter engine churning 550 HP (405 kW) and 502 lb-ft (680 Nm) of torque. The company did not disclose any performance-related details but chances are the car can perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in less than 4.5 seconds.

Full details will be disclosed next week so stay tuned for further info about the XJR.
