2014 Jaguar XKR-S GT introduced
Jaguar has announced a limited edition of the XKR-S which will be produced in 30 units and all will be wearing Polaris White paint. The GT variant is motivated by a V8 5.0-liter supercharged engine producing 550 HP (404 kW) and 501 lb-ft (680 Nm) of torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox sending those ponies to the rear wheels through an active electronic differential. From 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) it needs 3.9 seconds and it will keep on accelerating until it hits an electronically-capped top speed of 186 mph (299 km/h). It benefits from a sport-tuned suspension, a new traction control system, better steering system and new adaptive dampers.
The 2014 Jaguar XKR-S GT was developed by the firm’s Engineered to Order division which have fitted the car with an aggressive body kit encompassing carbon fiber wheel arch spats, carbon fiber canards and a carbon fiber front splitter. It rides on 20-inch light alloys covered by Pirelli Corsa tires measuring 255/35 for the front wheels and 305/30 for the rear ones.
We also notice the addition of a ventilated bonnet, a huge rear wing, carbon fiber diffuser and a carbon ceramic braking system featuring 398 mm discs at the front axle and 380 mm discs at the back.
