2014 Subaru Outback introduced with minor revisions
Launched originally back in 1996 in Europe, the Subaru Outback is now in its 2014 model year and this latest revision comes with a 2.0-liter Boxer diesel engine working together with a Lineartronic CVT which represents a premiere for this model.
As a result of the hardware combination, the car will do 44.8 mpg and has CO2 emissions of just 166 g/km. Subaru mentions that its engineers have done some fine tuning to the car’s chassis in order to improve handling and ride.
In terms of aesthetics, the 2014 Subaru Outback comes with 17-inch gunmetal alloys and is available with two new choices of paints known as Dark Grey Metallic and Deep Sea Blue Pearl. The black plastic cladding has now been replaced by body-colored variants which make the car look more premium than before.
UK pricing for the 2014 Outback equipped with the aforementioned 2.0-liter Boxer diesel kicks off at 29,995 pounds with the manual gearbox or from 31,495 pounds when configured with the Lineartronic.
