Toyota has introduced the new generation of the Corolla in European and U.S. specifications. The first four photos (white model) attached to the gallery are depicting the Euro-spec model while the other four are showing the North American variant. The car is 4639mm (182.6 inches) long, 1776mm (69.9 inches) wide and 1455mm (57.3 inches) tall, thus meaning the new Corolla is 99mm (3.90 inches) long, 16mm (0.63 inches) wider and 10mm (0.39 inches) lower than its predecessor. It will be available in four trim levels: L, LE, S and LE Eco which is a premiere to the Corolla range.
The L, LE and S models will have a 1.8-liter, 4-cylinder engine rated at 132 bhp (98 kW), while the LE Eco trim comes with a 1.8-liter engine churning 140 bhp (104 kW). Transmission choices include an old four-speed automatic, a six-speed manual and a CVTi-S seven-speed. The Eco model promises to return 40 mpg US (5.8 liters / 100 km or 48 mpg UK) on the highway.
