2015 Audi Q3 officially introduced
Audi is introducing the 2015 Q3 range which has brought a series of mechanical and cosmetic tweaks. The engine lineup has been thoroughly updated and now includes three TFSI turbocharged gasoline engines along with three TDI turbodiesels. All of them have four cylinders and are have up to 17 percent fewer CO2 emissions than before. These engines meet the more stringent Euro 6 emissions standards and have a displacement ranging from 1.4 to 2.0 liters while the output generated varies between 120 HP and 220 HP.
On top of the range is once again the RS Q3 which keeps its 2.5-liter 5-cylinder turbo gasoline engine but it has gained an additional 30 HP and 30 Nm so it now offers 340 HP and 450 Nm. All that power is transferred to a quattro all-wheel drive system with help from a 7-speed S tronic gearbox which enables the high-performance crossover run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in a mere 4.8 seconds, thus making it 0.7s faster than before.
Top speed has remained just like before electronically limited at 155 mph (250 km/h) and with the RS Q3 facelift Audi is introducing an RS exhaust system equipped with switchable flaps so the soundtrack should be even more impressive than before.
Sales of the facelifted Audi Q3 range will begin in February 2015 while the RS Q3 is programmed to go on sale in the first quarter of next year. Pricing starts at €29,600 for the base model and goes all the way to €56,600 for the RS Q3.
