2015 Renault Espace crossover unveiled
Renault has published images of the fifth generation Espace which will premiere on October 2 at the Paris Motor Show. Looking a lot different than the boxy Espace IV, the all-new model is no longer a full-size MPV as the French marque has decided to turn the Espace into a proper crossover offering seating for five or seven people. The attractive design is heavily influenced by the Initiale Paris concept that Renault showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year.
The fifth generation Renault Espace will ride on the newly developed CFM1 modular platform and is expected to be powered exclusively by turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Images of the interior cabin have not been released but we know the stylish crossover will be equipped with a larger touchscreen display that will replace most of the buttons and knobs.
The more expensive versions of the Espace will likely come equipped with LED headlights and taillights along with other high-end features as Renault has obviously decided to move the new Espace upmarket.
Sales of the all-new Renault Espace will kick off probably towards the end of the year or early 2015.
