2016 Mercedes GLA launched in US with new equipment
The 2016 Mercedes GLA has arrived in United States where it has received a series of updates for the new model year. The small crossover now comes with more standard equipment as the model has gained push-button ignition, dual-zone automatic climate control system and seats that have a cushion length adjustment. Moreover, the vehicle will get a new infotainment system packing a 7-inch screen, media interface and pre-wiring for the Garmin Map Pilot navigation system. We should point out the power passenger seat is now available as a standalone option as Mercedes has made some changes to the packages and options.
The 2016 Mercedes GLA can be ordered with a fresh Kryptonite Green metallic paint scheme while on the inside a new beige/black leather upholstery has replaced the old gray finish. The Agility Select system has been replaced by Dynamic Select and it comes with four different modes: Comfort, ECO, Sport, and Sport+.
Power comes from a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter turbo engine with 208 hp and 258 lb-ft sent to the front wheels or to an optional 4MATIC setup through a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. You can upgrade to the GLA45 which has a beefier 2.0-liter turbo pushing out 355 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. This one will cover the 0-60 mph run in only 4.8 seconds.
