Mercedes Concept V-ision e unveiled with plug-in hybrid system

The Mercedes Concept V-ision e has made its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show with a plug-in hybrid arrangement. It’s based on the latest generation V-Class and benefits from the same hardware setup as the C350e which combines a 4-cylinder gasoline engine delivering 210 HP (155 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque with an electric motor producing 122 HP (90 kW) and 340 Nm (251 lb-ft). This grants the concept with a combined output of 333 HP (245 kW) and a maximum torque of 600 Nm (443 lb-ft).

It needs 6.1 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) and will top out at 128 mph (206 km/h) while fuel consumption stands at just 3 liters / 100 km, with corresponding CO2 emissions of 71 g/km. The Mercedes Concept V-ision e will be able to run on electric power for as much as 50 km during which it’s able to hit a top speed of 50 mph (80 km/h).


The concept rides on 20-inch multi-spoke rims and has received a glass roof, two executive rear seats wrapped around in white Nappa leather while the backrests of the front passengers incorporate two iPad holders.
