2014 Fiat Panda Cross shows up in Geneva

Fiat has a new range-topping version of the Panda which goes by the name of Cross. It’s currently being exhibited at the Geneva Motor Show and will be positioned above the 4×4 version. The vehicle comes equipped as standard with the firm’s four-wheel drive torque on demand system and also benefits from an electronic locking differential. Further assisting the driver is a system called Hill Descent Control which will be useful whenever going down on bumpy roads. As you have noticed, on the outside the Fiat Panda Cross wears a rugged-looking body kit that has more plastic cladding and larger wheel arches.

Other than that, it has been fitted with a different set of 15-inch alloy wheels, updated fog lights and different roof bars. The interior cabin is home to the firm’s Blue&Me infotainment system, along with a leather trim and climate control. Under the hood there’s a 0.9-liter TwinAir engine with 90 HP or a 1.3-liter MultiJet delivering 80 HP. The gasoline motor can be configured with an updated six-speed manual transmission featuring a shortened first gear ratio.
