Audi released sketches with 2013 Quattro Concept

At next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show we’ll get to see a follow-up to Audi’s Quattro Concept from 2010. While the latter utilized the RS5 platform, the new iteration of the concept is likely to adopt a shortened platform of the RS7. It’s expected to feature a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 outputting in excess of 600 HP (441 kW). The conventional gasoline engine is rumored to work in tandem with an electric motor that delivers an extra 170 HP (125 kW). As a result, the combined output standard at 770 HP and 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque.

All those ponies will be sent to an all-time all-wheel drive setup and should enable the Quattro Concept to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in 3.4 seconds, en route to a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h). The car should also feature a ceramic braking system, limited-slip differential and an adaptive sports suspension.

Chances are a limited production model will derive from this concept sometime in 2016 when it’s expected to come out with a starting price of more than 200,000 euros.
