Lamborghini Veneno leaked

Lamborghini promised us a limited edition special model designed to celebrate the car’s 50th anniversary. They also said it will be showcased this week at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Now, we have the first photo with the supercar called Veneno.

Lamborghini mentions they will build only three of these cars and unfortunately for those with extremely deep pockets, all three units are already accounted for. The price for this car is estimated at $4.65 million (3.57 million euros or 3.1 million pounds).

Based on the Lamborghini Aventador, the Veneno is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine pumping out 740 hp (552 kW) which sends the power to the wheels through a 7-speed ISR robotized manual transmission. Thanks to this setup, the car will be capable of reaching a top speed of 354 km/h (220 mph).

The styling is typical Lamborghini and it draws its inspiration from previews special edition models such as the Sesto Elemento or Reventon. It comes with a roof scoop, huge wheels, sweptback headlights, as well as several body parts manufactured from what appears to be carbon fiber to lower the car’s curb weight.

Full details will be available on Wednesday when the Lamborghini Veneno will be publicly unveiled in Geneva.
