BMW X4 Concept introduced

German carmaker BMW has revealed online the X4 Concept which will be showcased later on this month during the 2013 Auto Shanghai. It adopts a very attractive front fascia with LED headlights and a prominent kidney grille.

We also notice the inclusion of generous air intakes, sculpted bonnet as well as matte black and chrome accents. BMW has applied a very appealing roofline which bears some resemblance to the larger X6 model. The concept shown in these official images is wearing a Long Beach Blue exterior hue with plastic body cladding and curved character lines.

The back of the BMW X4 Concept is home to the LED wraparound taillights, dual exhaust system and an interesting rear bumper with built-in underbody protection. There are no details about what powers this concept but the production version should be motivated by a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo mill rated at 240 bhp (179 kW) and 352 Nm (260 lb-ft) of torque, along with an inline-six TwinPower Turbo 3.0-liter pushing out 300 bhp (224 kW) and 406 Nm (300 lb-ft).
