Jaguar teases C-X17 concept prior to IAA debut

You certainly weren’t expecting this but it appears that British automaker Jaguar is about to reveal a crossover. It will be shown at first in concept form at next week’s Frankfurt Motor Show and we can already catch a glimpse at the five-door soft-roader via this teaser photo released by Jaguar. From what we can tell, expect to see F-Type-inspired taillights, spoiler mounted on the tailgate and bulging fenders. There’s also a prominent leaper logo and a sloping roofline which should provide the crossover with an appealing design.

Unfortunately Jaguar didn’t disclose any sort of technical specifications of the car except for the fact that it will utilize a new “highly-advanced modular aluminum architecture” which the media reports is known as Premium Lightweight Architecture and will be used as a foundation for a new entry-level sedan called XS.
