The Aston Martin Lagonda has arrived in UK where it carries an exorbitant starting price of £696,000. It’s without any doubt one of the most expensive cars on sale today and only 200 units are being built, although we don’t know how many of them are actually reserved for the UK market. This is basically a new flagship model from the company and is largely based on the Rapide S from where it has borrowed the 550 bhp V12 engine. However, it comes with an entirely different body hand-built from carbon fiber while the length of the vehicle has been extended to no less than 5.4 meters.
This new model brings the “Lagonda” name back after an absence of almost 40 years and the car is being built by Aston Martin’s Q division at a factory where in the past the One-77 was assembled. The model initially was available only in the Middle East, but Aston Martin decided to sell it in Europe and South Africa as well.
The Aston Martin Lagonda is available with an extensive array of personalization options for those who can afford that incredibly steep price tag which makes it more expensive than the big names in the luxury segment such as Rolls-Royce and Bentley.
