Audi launches 2016 A8 L 4.0T Sport in U.S.
Audi’s U.S. division has introduced the 2016 A8 L 4.0T Sport which compared to its predecessor now packs more punch. The most important change is noticeable underneath the hood where the twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter engine has been massaged to deliver an additional 15 bhp (11 kW) for a grand total of 450 bhp (336 kW). In addition, the full-size performance sedan from Ingolstadt has also received a slightly more aggressive body thanks to the modified front and rear bumpers that now sit lower than before while the rocker panels have been enlarged, so the car now looks wider.
There are now fewer chrome accents on the outside and you can get the car with either 20-inch five-double spoke alloy wheels paired with all-season tires or with 21-inch rims wrapped around in summer tires. On the inside it comes as standard with the Luxury and Executive packages, so the 2016 A8 L 4.0T Sport has Valcona leather upholstery with diamond stitching, 22-way comfort front seats that also boast massaging ventilation functions.
Other goodies part of the deal include the Alcantara headliner, a panoramic sunroof and acoustic glazing for all the windows. You can also opt to get Audi side assist with pre sense rear, along with a head-up display and adaptive cruise control featuring stop & go system.
Already available on order, the 2016 A8 L 4.0T Sport begins at $90,500, excluding the $925 destination charges.
