Audi S8 Talladega launched by MTM

German tuner MTM has taken the wraps off the Audi S8 Talladega special edition. The tuned full-size sedan is launched on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Bobby Unser’s record on the oval track at Talladega Speedway in Alabama when he hit a maximum speed of 350 km/h and achieved an average speed of 332 km/h while driving an Audi 5000 CS Turbo. To celebrate this record, MTM is offering 25 units of a tuned S8 priced at a steep €189,708.

The twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter engine has been massaged by MTM’s engineers who were able to bump the output from the series 520 HP (320 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) to an impressive 760 HP (559 kW) and 945 Nm (697 lb-ft) of torque. The car now needs only 3.48 seconds to run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint and 10.51 seconds from 0 to 124 mph (200 km/h), on its way onto an electronically-limited top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h).

The Audi S8 Talladega also comes with other upgrades such as the 21-inch Bimoto alloy wheels, 295/30 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, aerodynamic body kit with carbon fiber parts, as well as a few interior upgrades.
