Audi’s UK division revealed today a more powerful 2.0-liter TDI engine available initially on the three-door A3 and five-door A3 Sportback, with the four-door sedan getting it later on. Until now this mill was offered with 150 HP (110 kW) but now you can get it also in a beefier 184 HP (135 kW) configuration for the Sport or S line versions with either the front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive quattro system.
When mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, the car will need 7.3s until 62 mph (100 km/h) and will do a top speed of 145 mph (233 km/h).
More importantly, the A3 or A3 Sportback powered by the 184 HP 2.0-liter TDI can achieve a fuel economy of 57.3 mpg US (68.9 mpg UK or 4.1 liters / 100 km) in the combined cycle, while CO2 emissions are of 108 g/km.
Audi has prepared an LED lights package for the SE and Sport models which costs 2,000 pounds and includes LED headlights and taillights, LED ambient interior lightning, as well as rain and light sensors. If you opt for the S line or S3 version you can order this as a standalone package priced at 795 pounds.
