BMW in collaboration for the first time with Pininfarina have announced an interesting concept that goes by the name of Gran Lusso Coupe. It will be revealed to the public at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on May 24. We can only assume that with this concept BMW is hinting at the revival of the 8-Series which is likely to come in the following years. This concept is powered by a V12 engine mounted in the front, most likely the one taken from the 7-Series which is a 6.0-liter twin-turbo outputting 544 bhp (405 kW) and a peak torque of 745 Nm (550 lb-ft).
There aren’t any other details available right now, but judging from these three teaser photos BMW has released, we are dealing with a sleek coupe sporting short front and rear overhangs, a long bonnet and most likely an elongated wheelbase. The interior cabin is being described as a “blend of contemporary elegance and luxury.”
