BMW prepares M5 “30 Jahre M5” special edition
BMW is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the M5 through a special edition entitled “30 Jahre M5” which will be limited to only 300 units and all of them are going to feature an Individual Frozen Dark Silver exterior body paint scheme featuring dark chrome accents. The high-performance sedan is going to ride on 20-inch bi-color alloy wheels wrapped around in 265/35 ZR20 tires at the front and 295/30 ZR20 rubbers for the rear axle. The vehicle also has special badging, aluminum inserts, as well Merino leather & Alcantara interior.
It comes fitted as standard with the Competition Package and has an uprated 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine delivering 600 PS and 700 Nm which makes it 40 PS and 20 Nm more powerful than the regular M5. It also benefits from a 10mm lowered suspension, stiffer anti-sway bars and a reprogrammed M Dynamic Mode.
It will do the 0-100 km/h run in 3.9 seconds on its way to a limited top speed of 250 km/h or 305 km/h if the client gets the optional M Driver’s Package.
