Chevrolet has taken the wraps off the next generation Cruze which at first will be sold only in China. The vehicle draws its inspiration from the Tru concept and has been fitted with an aerodynamic front fascia equipped with sweptback headlights and a dual-mesh grille. We also notice the implementation of a rakish windscreen, as well as shorter overhangs and a chrome-plated trim. Chevrolet says that the Cruze rides on an entirely new platform and was styled under the “Design with a Heartbeat” styling language.
The China-spec version is going to be sold with a 4-cylinder, 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline engine as well as a naturally-aspirated 1.5-liter motor. These engines can work together with a 6-speed automated manual, a 6-speed manual as well as a new 7-speed DSG. Chevrolet mentions the new model is between 14 and 21 more fuel efficient than its predecessor.
