Citroen introduces second generation C1 in Geneva

The funky-looking second generation of the Citroen C1 is making an impression these days in Geneva due to its rather peculiar front fascia that kind of reminds us of the Nissan Juke. Aside from the weird arrangement of the headlights, the all-new C1 looks a lot better than the outgoing model and it seems Citroen decided to make the model look and feel more upscale. It will be sold not only in the three- and five-door body styles, but also as an open-top variant that goes by the name of Citroen C1 Airscape and features a fabric roll-back roof.

The French supermini is 3.46 meters long and 1.62 meters wide, while the curb weight kicks off at 840 kg, depending on the version. Power comes from tiny 3-cylinder 1.0- and 1.2-liter engines which come as standard with a stop/start system. These can work with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automated-manual.

Step inside the cabin of the upper-spec version and you will immediately notice a 7-inch touchscreen display, climate control, heated front seats, hill start assist system and a reversing camera.
