First McLaren P1 arrives to its customer

McLaren has commenced production of its latest gem, the P1. The first unit out of a total of 375 cars has been delivered to its owner who arrived at the firm’s Technology Center. The wealthy customer opted for a Volcano Yellow paint hue for the F1 successor which needs only 2.8 seconds to get from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h), while the 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) task is achieved in an impressive 6.8 seconds. The McLaren P1 can jump from 0 to 186 mph (300 km/h) in 16.5 seconds before hitting an electronically-capped speed of 217 mph (350 km/h).

If that’s not impressive enough, you might want to know that it needs just 2.9 seconds to reach a full stop from 62 mph and will do it over a distance of only 30.2 meters. It stops from 124 mph in 4.5 seconds in 116 meters, while getting from 186 mph to 0 takes 6.2 seconds and 116 meters. McLaren says the P1 has a fuel consumption of 8.3 liters / 100 km with corresponding CO2 emissions of 194 g/km.
