Ford presents Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition

Ford is celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the Mustang with a “50 Year Limited Edition” which has been introduced today at the New York Auto Show. The vehicle will be sold in a limited quantity of 1,963 units as a reference to the year when the original pony car came out. This limited-run variant is going to be based on the GT version configured with the Performance Pack and all cars will be painted in either Kona Blue or Wimbledon White (pictured). The only other selection to be made will be between the 6-speed manual or auto since the car comes with all the rest of the goodies.

Opt for the automatic model and Ford will also throw in a Torsen limited-slip differential while under the hood of both variants is going to be a naturally-aspirated 5.0-liter V8 offering 420+ bhp and 390 lb-ft of torque. The Ford Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition will come with 19-inch rims wrapped around in Pirelli P Zero tires while stopping efficiently will be the job of the Brembo braking system.

As far as the interior is concerned, the Blue Oval went for a two-tone cashmere & black leather upholstery together with a cashmere-stitched leather-wrapped steering wheel and logos with the Mustang 50 Year on the seat backs.

Pricing hasn’t been disclosed but we do know this limited-run Mustang will effectively reach dealerships sometime this fall.
