Holden Barina RS revealed in full

Following an announcement made about two months ago, Holden has revealed in full the 2014 Barina RS which in Australia carries a starting price of $20,900. As you would expect, we are dealing with a rebadged variant of the Chevrolet Cruze RS so naturally power comes from a four-cylinder, 1.4-liter turbo engine rated at 138 bhp and 200 Nm of torque which is delivered to the front wheels with help from a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional six-speed automatic (from $23,190) that comes with Active Select. The vehicle is 10mm lower than the non-RS Barina and comes with additional body bracing for a stiffer body structure.

Other changes include modified front and rear fascias, updated dampers with increased spring rates as well as stiffer shock absorbers. The 2014 Holden Barina RS sits on fresh 17-incha alloys and comes with fog lamps in standard configuration. Its exterior can be painted in an exclusive color called Orange Rock while the cabin is adorned by sports pedals, RS-branded floor mats, leather gear shifter and heated front leather-covered seats which come with the RS badging.
