Holden launches Colorado Z71 in Australia

Holden has taken the wraps off the Colorado Z71 which will be positioned on top of the model’s range. It is programmed to go on sale towards the end of July and will be based on the Colorado LTZ 4×4 Crew Cab version but will come with added goodies such as tinted headlights, glossy black accents and a more aggressive front bumper. It has also received black hood decals, a sport bar, soft tonneau cover (hard tonneau optional) and roof rails while the 18-inch Arsenal Grey wheels are also exclusive to this model. We should also mention the sail plane and styled nudge bar, Z71 decal on tailtage and a maximum towing capacity of 3.5 tons.

Stepping inside the cabin, the Chevrolet Colorado Z71 benefits from heated seats wrapped around in leather, an acoustic package, rearview camera and the MyLink infotainment system which comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display. Customers will have the possibility of ordering the vehicle in one of the following body paint schemes: Orange Rock, Sizzle Red, Summer White, Satin Steel Grey and Black Sapphire.


In terms of power, the Holden Colorado Z71 comes exclusively with a Duramax 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine producing 197 bhp (147 kW) and a maximum torque of 324 lb-ft (440 Nm). Power is channeled to both axles through either a 6-speed manual transmission or an optional 6-speed automatic gearbox.
