It seems that Hyundai’s Sonata YF has some serious technical problems as this isn’t the first incident related to unintentional acceleration. The video below was recorded in South Korea by a dashboard-mounted camera inside a Mercedes-Benz. It happened in Seoul’s Seocho district on October 10 and caused no less than 10 injuries.
We see a Hyundai Sonata YF that is slowly moving in traffic when all of the sudden it starts to accelerate violently and hits the rear of the car that was in front. After that, the driver of the Sonata taxi decides to put the car in reverse which was a bad move as the acceleration issues continued and he ended up hitting that Mercedes we’ve mentioned.
