Infiniti Q30 photographed in Prague
A pre-production version of the Infiniti Q30 hatchback was spotted on the streets of Prague, Czech Republic. The car was participating in an ad shooting and thankfully it didn’t have any cam on it which allows us to check out the rear end appearance as we all know how the front looks like since Infiniti released an image earlier this week. The compact hatchback is basically a rebadged version of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class but as you can see it has an entirely different exterior design and most likely the cabin has been changed as well.
The 2016 Infiniti Q30 will be shown in mid-September at the Frankfurt Motor Show before going on sale towards the end of the year together with its crossover sibling, the QX30. Details about the engine lineup are scarce at the moment, but it is believed it will be offered with 1.5- and 2.2-liter turbodiesel motors along with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline unit.
Both the Infiniti Q30 and QX30 will be assembled in Sunderland, United Kingdom at a factory operated by parent company Nissan. There’s no word about pricing, but most likely the two will be cheaper than the A-Class hatchback and the GLA crossover.
