Kia has officially unveiled the SPORTSPACE concept scheduled to get a public reveal in about two weeks at the Geneva Motor Show. The appealing concept likely provides a first hint at a wagon version of the next generation Optima and if the production version will look anything like this, the car will likely be one of the most appealing models in the mid-size segment. It was designed in Frankfurt, Germany and has received a new interpretation of the company’s ice cube headlights previously seen on the cee’d GT and K900.
Kia says their SPORTSPACE concept offers “stylish and exciting transportation for four” in a very attractive body with a low roofline, vented fenders, a bulging hood and automatically retractable door handles like on the Tesla Model S. Also noticeable are the slender exterior mirrors, dual chrome exhaust arrangement and a set of stylish wheels.
The concept will premiere on March 3 at the Geneva Motor Show.
