Lister Motor is back in business
We bet you haven’t heard of Lister Motors but we don’t blame you since the automaker has been out of business for the last 25 years. They have now returned after a massive investment from George Lister Engineering, Warranty Wise, Brian Lister Light Engineering and Lister Storm which have joined forces to create Lister Motor Company Limited that has plans of restarting production after so many years at a brand new plant located in Cambridge, United Kingdom. The vehicle will look just about the same as the 1958 Lister Jaguar “Knobbly” and will be eligible for FIA/HTP Appendix K specification.
Lister Motors mentions on its website the vehicle will be offered with a choice of two engines. One will be a Jaguar-sourced V8 3.8-liter mill rated at 330 bhp and 295 lb-ft which should be enough for a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) sprint in 4.3 seconds prior to topping out at 181 mph (291 km/h). There will also be a GM-sourced V8 4.6-liter engine unleashing 315 bhp and 290 lb-ft that will provide a 0-60 mph run in 4.9 seconds and a 168 mph (270 km/h) top speed.
