Lotus has announced pricing details for the Evora 400 billed as the company’s fastest and most powerful production model ever. Deliveries in Europe are scheduled to kick off in August, with pricing beginning at €96,000 in Germany and from £72,000 in United Kingdom. In North America it will start reaching customers from December at a base price tag of $89,900 while in the beginning of 2016 it will be available in China from 1,318,000 RMB. Lotus will also sell the Evora 400 in Japan where it will cost ¥13,200,000.
The vehicle features an uprated version of the V6 supercharged 3.5-liter engine which in this application delivers 400 bhp (298 kW) and a maximum torque of 410 Nm (302 lb-ft) of torque. All that power is channeled to the wheels through either a six-speed manual with a limited-slip differential or an optional six-speed automatic gearbox.
It needs 4.2 seconds to run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint and will be able to hit a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h). The engineers from Lotus have made some revisions to the aluminum chassis which now weighs 22 kg less than before while the brakes are larger and the suspension has been retuned.
