The vehicle features an uprated version of the V6 supercharged 3.5-liter engine which in this application delivers 400 bhp (298 kW) and a maximum torque of 410 Nm (302 lb-ft) of torque. All that power is channeled to the wheels through either a six-speed manual with a limited-slip differential or an optional six-speed automatic gearbox.

It needs 4.2 seconds to run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint and will be able to hit a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h). The engineers from Lotus have made some revisions to the aluminum chassis which now weighs 22 kg less than before while the brakes are larger and the suspension has been retuned.
