Lotus Elise S Cup R shown once again
It was about two months ago when Lotus released the first official picture with the 2014 Elise S Cup R and now they are back with a second one, prior to the car’s public debut programmed for January 9 at Autosport in Birmingham, UK. We are dealing with a track-only vehicle motivated by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder supercharged engine and riding on 16-inch front & 17-inch rear alloy wheels wrapped around in Advan Neova AD07 LTS tires from Yokohama. Lotus mentions the body of the race car tips the scales at only 924 kg (2,037 lbs).
Priced from 39,125 pounds, the 2014 Lotus Elise S Cup R comes with high-performance brakes, a rear wing, floor extensions, rear diffuser, triple-pass radiator, revised front splitter and a sport-tuned suspension. The cabin packs a HANS-compatible racing seat, a FIA-compliant roll cage and a quick-release steering wheel. For more money clients can opt for an AC system, FIA-compliant fuel cell, race-spec passenger seat with four-point harness, along with ultra-lightweight motorsport wheels.
