Renaultsport unveiled the Megane Red Bull Racing RB8 about two months ago and now they have disclosed pricing details about the 30 cars which will be sold in the United Kingdom. Pricing kicks off at 28,245 pounds and in return you get a hot coupe powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline engine delivering 265 bhp (197 kW). It comes with several goodies taken from the Megane Renaultsport 265 Cup, like the anti-roll bar, stiffer dampers and springs, a limited slip differential and Brembo brake calipers with grooved discs. The car is wearing an exclusive Twilight Blue paint with Red Bull Racing graphics.
It was developed to celebrate the success of Red Bull in the 2012 Formula 1 Constructors’ championship and has been equipped on the inside with Recaro sport seats, aluminum kick plates, as well as Red Bull branding for the headrests and carpet mats. There’s also a 7-inch R-link multimedia tablet featuring Renaultsport Monitor 2.0 that shows the driver G-force diagram, 0-62 mph times, GPS-tracked lap timing and power output data.
We should also mention the exterior of this limited-run Megane Renaultsport Red Bull Racing RB8 has platinum accents on the rear lip spoiler, door handles, F1 blade, door mirror housings, together with a special monochrome laurel on the rear side windows.
