Mercedes-AMG launch 577 bhp GLE63 S Coupe
The newly formed Mercedes-AMG division of Daimler have unveiled the GLE63 S Coupe. It represents Daimler’s answer to the second-gen BMW X6 M and comes with a beefy body kit combined with LED headlights and a quad exhaust arrangement. It rides on 22-inch rims that have a titanium gray finish while inside the cabin there are Nappa leather-wrapped sports seats, a flat-bottomed steering wheel along with an updated instrument cluster that have carbon fiber-like dials. The high-performance crossover also has a Harman Kardon sound system, AMG-branded floor mats, stainless steel pedals, leather dashboard and heated & ventilated front seats.
The GLE63 S Coupe is powered by a V8 5.5-liter twin-turbo engine generating 577 bhp (430 kW) and a maximum torque of 760 Nm (561 lb-ft) sent to a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system through a seven-speed automatic transmission which grants the vehicle with a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run in just 4.2 seconds.
AMG engineers have also installed a Sports Direct-Steer steering system which works together with an Active Curve system and an AMG Ride Control sports suspension. The GLE63 S Coupe stops efficiently in time thanks to 5.4″ x 1.4″ front & 13.6″ x 1.0″ rear ventilated and perforated discs.
