Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG to be shown at Los Angeles Auto Show

It was less than two weeks ago when we reported that Mercedes-Benz will introduce the 2014 S65 AMG at the Los Angeles Auto Show in California this November, and now the German marque has made it official and promised to bring the most powerful S-Class ever to the popular motor show. They didn’t release any technical specifications but the car is rumored to pack a mighty V12 6.0-liter engine churning around 630 HP which will be put to the ground through a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT gearbox. As a result of this setup, the S65 AMG will sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4 seconds.

We’ve also heard that the high-performance sedan will have a fuel consumption of 11.6 liter for each 100 km traveled, which translates into 24.3 mpg UK and 20 mpg US. The car will look a bit different than the S63 AMG but overall it will maintain a restrained approach.
