Mercedes-Benz Citan Crewbus launched

German automaker Mercedes-Benz is introducing a new variant of the Citan which will be sold with the Crewbus moniker. The car is programmed to hit dealerships sometime next spring and it will feature a stretched wheelbase which will enable the vehicle to provide enough seating for seven people as a result of the inclusion of two individual third-row seats. Mercedes-Benz says that these two seats can be folded or even removed if you need additional cargo space. The vehicle was mostly created for various companies that handle commercial cargo transport or commercial passenger transport.

As a side note, Mercedes-Benz mentions the Citan will be available very soon with additional engines, such as the 1.5-liter CDI diesel with 110 HP and 240 Nm of torque in the Citan 111 CDI which will carry a starting price of 17,130 euros. The car will need a modest 12.3 seconds to get from a standstill to 62 mph (100 km/h) and will be able to reach a maximum speed of 105 mph (170 km/h).

There’s also the Citan 112 from 15,810 euros which will be motivated by a 1.2-liter gasoline engine rated at 112 Hp, enough for a sprint to 62 mph in 11.7 seconds and a 107 mph (173 km/h) top speed.
