Overfinch launches Land Rover Defender 40th Anniversary Edition

British tuner Overfinch has taken the wraps off the Land Rover Defender 40th Anniversary Edition. It serves as a last hurrah for the iconic off-roader which will be discontinued next month. Only five of these will ever be made and all of them are going to be based on the two-door Defender 90 fitted with the reputable 2.2-liter turbodiesel engines. The vehicle has gained diamond-turned Apollo 18-inch wheels, integrated LED daytime running lights, special front grille, electrically-operated tow bar and machined aluminum billet door handles and fuel filler cap. You’ll also notice the body-colored door sill protectors and step plates, along with black chrome Overfinch lettering on the hood.

As far as the interior cabin is concerned, the Land Rover Defender 40th Anniversary Edition by Overfinch has a Bridge of Wier leather upholstery applied on the Recaro seats, dashboard and headliner. The tuner has also fitted the off-roader with an Alpine satellite navigation system, rearview camera, deep pile carpets, subwoofer housed in a storage box, along with special matting in the load bay.

Overfinch is asking £70,000 for each of the five units available and all of them will feature an individually numbered plaque.

Those who would rather wait for an all-new Defender should know that it won’t be out until 2018.
