SEM DX7 is an SUV from China designed by Pininfarina
The SEM DX7 is an SUV developed by South East Motor while in charge of styling was none other than Pininfarina. They are describing it as being the first “Chinese SUV with an Italian touch” and it clearly looks a lot better than most of its rivals coming out from China as the design is far more upscale and makes the vehicle stand out in a good way. Noticeable are the prominent wheel arches, muscular lines and a slightly sloping roofline while the interior looks like a nice place to sit in.
SEM has not released a lot of technical details about the DX7, but they do say it has systems like stability control and rollover prevention while an automatic parking system is also fitted as well. Moreover, the SEM DX7 has a panoramic sunroof and an electric tailgate while the safety-related hardware meets U.S. regulations.
As far as Pininfarina is concerned, they are on the verge of being acquired by Indian automaker Mahindra, with an official announcement believed to occur in the next few days.
