Subaru unveils 2016 WRX and WRX STI
Subaru is presenting a series of modest updates for the 2016 WRX and WRX STI. The base WRX model has now gained a STARLINK infotainment system benefiting from a 6.2-inch display and equipped with a CD player. It support HD Radio, SiriusXM satellite radio and has Bluetooth, iPod, AUX and USB connectivity. There’s also an upgraded EyeSight system featuring Lane Keep Assist which will use the car’s electric power steering to aid the driver in their lane. Subaru is also adding fresh 18-inch alloy wheels shod in summer tires for the WRX Premium and WRX Limited models.
As far as the 2016 WRX STI is concerned, this one too gets the infotainment system along with a rear spoiler available without having to pay more. Opt for the WRX STI Limited and you get some new kit such as Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Detection and Keyless Access.
Subaru is asking $26,595 for the standard WRX while the WRX STI carries a starting price of $34,695.
