Toyota Racing Development has introduced a special edition of the GT 86 for the UK market. Scheduled to go on sale on March 1, the Toyota GT 86 TRD will be available in the United Kingdom in only 250 units and will be sold with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
Customers will have the possibility of opting for either a Pearl White paint or a GT 86 Black hue. The model equipped with the manual gearbox is priced from 31,495 pounds whereas the version featuring the auto will set you back at least 32,995 pounds.
The Japanese two+two coupe has been fitted with a quad exhaust system, rear diffuser, deep front and side skirts, 18-inch alloys and a rear bumper spoiler. On top of that there is also a TRD gear shift lever, TRD radiator cap and fuel filler cover.
Fitted with the manual transmission, the Toyota GT 86 TRD will be able to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 7.7 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 140 mph (225 km/h). When opting for the automatic gearbox, the vehicle needs 8.4 seconds to hit 62 mph, en route to a top speed of 130 mph (209 km/h).
