Volkswagen Beetle Fender Edition priced from $24,440

VW’s US division has released the pricing information for the 2013 Beetle Fender Edition. The entry-level model will set you back $24,400 and comes with a 170 hp 5-cylinder 2.5-liter engine connected to a manual transmission, while for $25,540 you can get it with an automatic gearbox. There’s also a more powerful engine available in the form of the 2.0-liter TSI Turbo with 200 hp that begins at $28,130 for the manual or $29,200 when linked to the DSG. These prices do not include the $795 destination charge.

This special edition of the Beetle is wearing a Deep Black Pearl Metallic paint that is being contrasted by the brushed chrome mirrors and those retro 18-inch “Disc” alloys. Other than that, it packs a few Fender badges on both sides of the vehicle while at the front it comes with bi-xenon headlights and LED DRLs.

Moving inside the cabin we notice that the dashboard has been trimmed in Fender’s usual sunburst-patterned trim, while the more potent Turbo model gains sport seats wrapped around in V-Tex leatherette with bespoke cloth inserts. As you would expect, there’s also a Fender Premium Audio System that comes with a ten-channel amplifier pumping out 400 watts to four Fender Deluxe tweeters, two Fender rear speakers, two Fender Twin speakers, as well as a powerful Fender Bassman subwoofer.
