Up until recently the fastest commercial vehicle around the Nürburgring was a Ford Transit driven by Sabine Schmitz during a Top Gear UK episode. She managed to perform the bridge to gantry lap in 10min 8sec, while the Volkswagen T5 by Revo you see in this video did a full lap of the Nürburgring in 9m 57.36sec. The record-breaking attempt was done with a T5 2.0 Twin Turbo Diesel model churning 220 bhp (164 kW) thanks to an ECU remap, custom exhaust system and a Forge intercooler. The T5 also received Team Dynamics alloy wheels, Dunlop tires and a Bilstein B14 coilover kit. The vehicle was provided by Transporterland in Lydney.
