Volvo has taken the wraps off the V60 D5 Twin Engine Special Edition which will be limited to just 500 cars. Currently on display at the Geneva Motor Show, the model is based on the V60 plug-in hybrid but it has gained an attractive Crystal White exterior paint scheme with glossy black accents and rides on an unique set of 19-inch alloys. There’s not much going on inside the cabin but the Swedish marque has added a piano black trim, a black headliners as well as Blond sport seats.
Motivation of the Volvo V60 D5 Twin Engine Special Edition is provided by a D5 engine which works together with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery that has a capacity of 11.2 kWh. Thanks to this hardware arrangement, the vehicle can provide a combined output of 230 HP (169 kW) when the turbodiesel engine and the electric motor work both at the same time.
