Rally driver Guerlain Chicherit is the first man ever to complete a successful car backflip. He did it in a MINI Countryman John Cooper Works (JCW) and the venue for this achievement was in Tignes, France. What’s even more impressive is that it was an unassisted landing while the ramp was a stock one, not a custom designed one to boost the car’s rotational movement.
He used a static ramp which is virtually the same as the ones used on a freestyle course. He did the jump not once but twice, first as a private attempt early in the morning and then later on in front of some crowd.
