Ford has unveiled a one-off version of the Mustang GT called F-35 Lightning II Edition which has received a Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II livery. In addition, the pony car comes with a carbon fiber front splitter as well as a rear diffuser and rocker moldings while the body adopts a matte titanium paint with yellow and blue accents. A yellow look was applied onto the brake calipers, mirror covers, windows tint and inside on the Recaro bucket seats.
Other changes worth mentioning include the F-35 Lightning II elements embroidered in the seats and floor mats, along with a custom instrument cluster and performance gauges. This special 2015 Ford Mustang GT will be auctioned at EAA AirVenture at the Gathering of Eagles charity event and all the money will be directed towards the EAA Young Eagles program that since 1992 has organized no less than two million free flights.
