Holden intros VF Commodore SS V showcar

This is the Holden VF Commodore SS V showcar which serves as a preview for the 2013 Chevrolet SS which will be unveiled tomorrow at Daytona. If you recall, the facelifted 2013 VF Commodore made its online debut earlier this week in the luxury trim and now the Australian automaker is showing how the hotter SS V version will look like. Wearing a striking orange paint called Fantale, this show car features multi-spoke 20-inch alloys and a quad-pipe exhaust setup at the back. There aren’t any details about the V8 engine under the hood but we can tell you that it is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission while the stopping power is provided by the Brembo brakes.

As you can see from these official images published by Holden, the VF Commodore SV sports a significantly more aggressive body kit boasting an aluminum hood which has a center crease. Other than that, the performance sedan sports more prominent air intake aperture and rear valence which have been blackened.

Moving inside the cabin of the showcar we find a redesigned instrument panel featuring Holden’s MyLink infotainment system with a generous eight-screen touchscreen display. There’s also a sports steering wheel wrapped around in leather and ice blue ambient lightning.
